Baroque Art

     

     Baroque art is period where the artist used many motion and also details that make the artwork more dramatic for the viewers. This technique is used on paintings, sculptures, architecture, and etc.

                                     

     Baroque art was became very popular before. The dramatic style of Baroque architecture and art as a means of impressing visitors and expressing triumphant power and control. Baroque palaces are built around an entrance of courts, grand staircases and reception rooms. Baroque art's most striking characteristics are the great drama, rich color, and intense light and dark shadows in every artwork. Art works are featured large, dramatic landscapes that painters captured in great detail and they are very complex. 

     This period is relevant  to present expressions of art, because of the way they express their emotions into their own artworks. Maybe the artist want the viewers to see the emotions -happiness, sadness, freight. Even today some of the artists are putting so much expression to their artwork that it is really infectious (like the picture above).

     Presenting emotion in artworks can be hard, especially for me. Maybe, i will be affected by the emotion of my artwork but others might be not be affected at all, and i have experience that already. Maybe I was influenced by this period by wanting my viewers to feel the emotion within my future artworks. I admit that when i create paintings or even sketches i always make it emotional for me, some may laugh at it but for me it is suppose to be sad. Baroque's dramatic style is really a great technique to copy, because the motions can make the artwork more alive or for short more realistic. 

Renaissance art

      Renaissance, in other words means Rebirth, one of the periods of art was a very popular period because of it's well known artists. Like the 4 renaissance artist Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael.  

      The most striking characteristics of Rennaissance Art, is the way they concentrate on details. It is obviously seen on their sculptures, architectures, and also their paintings, like Michelangelo's David.

      

     Also Leonardo's very popular painting the MONA LISA.

     The other characteristics of Renaissance art is that this period really shown stories on their artworks. They have used realism, and they did it very well.

        This period relevant to present expressions of art because of the contribution of this era. Though before realism is widely used, still some of the artwork in this era are preserve and still seen by our eyes. It is also a big part of the history because most of this artworks are seen in churches.

       Like as i have mentioned before that they really concentrated on details. Even when i'm drawing, if the renaissance is mentioned, i automatically put in to my mind that i should concentrate on how it will look very realistic and also how will it look that it is life.  

     

CHRISTIAN ART

          

          Christian Art,on of the era that affected the artworks of other, especially in architecture. Their subject matter is mostly the events from the bible, like the cruxifiction of Christ. The journey of Joseph, Mary and Jesus. Some artworks are tribute to the saints. The other emperors like Emperor Constantine that allowed all religions to be free, in the signing of Edict of Milan. Many of their artwork looks like mosaics that shows Apostles also Christ. most of their art were hidden under catacomb, because before Constantine allowed Christianity. Christians were executed before. Maybe that's why the churches that was built before was really big and high, it symbolized that the higher the ceiling the closer they are to God.         

          For me this era does not even affected me or the way that  create my artworks. Maybe because the way that execute their art work is far from mine. Maybe in the way that i draw our God, they have affected. me. Their artwork, is really different from each other, some looks very realistic, but some say that their's also even though that it sometime looks like abstracted. I'm not saying that this era does not even contributed anything it just that their work of art is also same with the renaissance era, their is hardly no difference. 

         In my art works the use of colors maybe, but that era use Fresco style, where you paint your art on walls. Nowadays, painting in walls are called vandalism. But that era was showing how they really enjoyed their freedom with their religion.

Ancient Art and Classical Art

     Art of the Ancients are a very fruitful topic. Because of here the history of art started. Ancient artifact and art are really proctected because it is one of the proof that art existed even before. Like the paintings of our ancestors in the stone age era. Like the Hall of the Bulls, that was really an art. But maybe at that times that painting is not art but one of the reminders of their daily activity in their daily life. With the classical art were the Romans and Greeks was discussed that was a very detailed one. Detailed because most of the art work in classical are in realistic style. Like the statues of the Gods and Goddesses. 

      For me this eras really made a difference with my personal style as an artist. Because as I have said they show very detailed and very well constructed artifact. Now I really focus on details that really can help my art work to stand out and be noticed. I'm really interested on their way on really being realistic as we can see in the other statues of the Romans and Greeks they are very precise. Even the waves of the clothing is also shown and that made the art really striking. While in the ancient art, the one that interest me was with the way they design a simple wall and also a simple vase.

     Creating such work like in the two eras will be hard for me. Because in the first place i still don't have the enough skill to perform sculpting. Also i still need to study more of the proper details that is needed dot be applied on a specific art work that in the future i will be planing to do.

    

   

 

REALISM..let's be real

     Everyone has their own style. Even when it is with fashion, writing, or even with art. One person can choose many kind of style that they can be comfortable with.But the hard part is how will you do it. for me the style that I prefer is the realistic style. Because it really express every thing that a human see with his own eyes. Realistic, is all about details and that details really make the painting or your art come to life. It is also help a person travel around the world, because of the arts of their local artist. Also with realistic art you can really express your emotion. Not just you own emotions but also the viewers of your art.

     I really like to say that i would prefer alteration but it is really hard for me. Alteration for me is really good art, but sometimes may look simple. Also the problem is that i always lack of ideas on how to express my feeling to drawing. Like what i have said from my previous blog post, that i was really struggling with the abstract art. But lucky for us that we are being taught to draw what we express. But realistic art really, test my skills and also my observation on the people, place around me, that may inspire other people. 

Be FAST.Be CREATIVE

     
       Art is said to be one of the things that help us express our feelings. That's why sometimes it very complex and we really think about what will be the out come of our masterpiece. For short impromptu art is very hard for. I believe that for you to make a beautiful art you should have enough time to think about it. You must have time to plan and gather inspiration. Inspiration, because there is always something that really make you do that art. But in our case we are given some certain things that we should draw. But another thing is finding the right subject. When all of us were assigned to draw a realism type of drawing, all of us scattered all over the grounds. Some of us just used or classmates as their models. Me, I ask Briann and Ryan if i can draw there back. Lucky for me, i instantly found model for that drawing.

       At that same day we were also assign to make abstract drawing. I really asked everyone of my classmates on what will they draw. I thought that abstract is really easy. But when i think about it, i want my abstract to come out really pretty and not just squiggles and lines. It really took me half of my time thinking of what will i draw for that abstract. There  are so many ideas that pop-out on my head, and i can't choose from those ideas. When i looked at the time, i really need to finish this. The first one doesn't have any color and i did not sketch anything for the abstract. I made sure that  everything will be visible even without outlines. Then i passed my sketch pad and leave.

       That experience was really hard for a artist like me. Because when i draw i think really hard on what will be the outcome of what will i draw. It really eat almost of my time. But this experience really help me to think faster. Also with my drawing skills i think i improved a little bit. I also thought that in the future, when we all finally get jobs. The bosses won't pay us to think but to do what we do best make art, but in a limited time.
When all of us have costumers there will always be deadlines for the designs that they entrusted us with. This really taught me to really have Time management also to be a critical thinker. Because in the industry there is no room for mistakes.

    There are many type or kinds of arts. Different people, different favorites. In my case I can appreciate any art work that caught my eye. Even they are works by a true artists or even street art. I always create anime figures or characters. Maybe that's expressionism I think, because I express my feeling through anime characters. But in other form of drawing maybe I always create abstract art. I really like abstract art because of the freedom of expression of a artist about a issue. In creating Abstract art, mostly the artist only understands his/her work. It is never easy to create an abstract because you must think of a unique way on how you will express your feeling through art. That's why I also like contemporary art.

    Contemporary art can sometimes be odd at first. Maybe some other people would not even understand what the artist's message. Contemporary art can also be similar to modern art because of the styles. But contemporary art is really diverse, because some of the old art works and new one's are together. Like what was said on the internet that there are some art works from the world war two (2) that are considered as contemporary art. It has a funny style for me, because under it is pop art. Pop art is also a bit odd, because a stock of  Camp bell cans is considered art. But as of today many of the artist produce contemporary arts. Some of the arts are mostly displayed on museums and galleries. Unlike the artists before some of contemporary artist are left one the shadows. Even some of them are truly great and really have talent to boast.           

    There are many eras that really influenced our point of view when it comes too art. Like the first one, where it is said that cave mans are the first ever artist on earth. Then, came other eras of art that have there own styles. But for me the most influential of them all is the Greek and Roman era. Because of the likeness of the art works of the Greek into real life. Also the architectural contributions of the Romans in our future. This era is very influential because most of the art works are still preserve and kept on museums. Also Romans and Greek really consider details that can make every art work realistic. This era really showed how beautiful world was before. They also tell stories of adventure in every art work they make. Without there architectural knowledge building, churches and museums will not be built.
